Film Access Northumberland Receives Ontario Trillium Foundation Grant
Film Access Northumberland (FAN) is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a $19,900 grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF) to enhance its community programming and events with professional-grade projection equipment.
This investment will support the purchase of a high-luminance projector, a 19-foot rear projection screen and frame, a video switcher, and a dedicated laptop. The fully portable system will allow FAN to bring programming and film screenings to communities across Northumberland County, with a particular focus on presentations at Victoria Hall in Cobourg.
By improving access to high-quality screening technology, the project ensures that emerging filmmakers—especially students from secondary and post-secondary institutions—can experience their work as it is meant to be seen: on the big screen, in front of a live audience.
The initiative also strengthens FAN’s partnerships with local cultural venues while elevating the overall viewing experience for audiences throughout the region.
FAN extends its sincere thanks to OTF for this significant support and its continued commitment to community-based arts and culture.
The Ontario Trillium Foundation announced the grant at the 2026 Eye2Eye Showcase on May 17 at Victoria Hall, Cobourg.
Making the presentation were Peter Dounoukos (Ontario Trillium Foundation), David Puccini (Northumberland-Peterborough South MPP), Nicole Beatty (Deputy Mayor of Cobourg) and Ross Pigeau (Chair of Film Access Northumberland).
