A short film competition and one-day showcase for emerging student filmmakers
The 2026 Eye2Eye Showcase is a one-day celebration of new voices in film. At its heart are two juried short film competitions—one for local high school students and one for post-secondary filmmakers—complemented by industry talks, networking opportunities, and curated screenings.
Our Emerging Filmmaker Awards champion the next generation of storytellers through meaningful support, including cash prizes, tuition bursaries, and in-kind contributions such as equipment rentals and studio space. We also connect post-secondary winners with mentorship opportunities, pairing them with working film and media professionals to help guide their next steps.

Lauren Greenwood is coming home! A graduate of CCI (class of 2002) with 15 years' experience as a working screenwriter, Lauren will provide valuable insight into the screenwriting process and how emerging filmmakers can start their careers in the film & television industry.
