Eye2Eye Emerging
Filmmaker Showcase
A short film competition and one-day showcase for emerging student filmmakers
The 2026 Eye2Eye Showcase is a one-day celebration of new voices in film. At its heart are two juried short film competitions—one for local high school students and one for post-secondary filmmakers—complemented by industry talks, networking opportunities, and curated screenings.
Our Emerging Filmmaker Awards champion the next generation of storytellers through meaningful support, including cash prizes, tuition bursaries, and in-kind contributions such as equipment rentals and studio space. We also connect post-secondary winners with mentorship opportunities, pairing them with working film and media professionals to help guide their next steps.

Our Goal
FAN’s greatest impact comes from investing in emerging filmmakers—especially students. That’s why we’ve shaped the Eye2Eye Showcase as a true launchpad for young creators: a place to be seen, to connect with industry, and to take that crucial first step forward. Your support helps make that opportunity possible.
