Step-by-Step Guide for Submitting Your Film

This step-by-step guide takes you through the process of submitting your film for the Eye2Eye Emerging Filmmaker Showcase & Awards.

1. Post your film on YouTube or Vimeo (if you want to add a password that’s fine, you’ll need to provide it when submitting to the festival)

2. Sign up for a FilmFreeway filmmaker account at https://filmfreeway.com (you’ll only need an email address – please check your email regularly!)

3. Add your film as a Film/Video Project. You will need to enter:

  • Film a title and synopsis (brief description), don’t worry about website, twitter, Insta etc.

  • Submitter information (name address, age, etc.)

  • Key Credits (who was director, writer, producer – if this is an independent film, you can just enter yourself as Director)

  • Specifications: Select ‘Short’ as the Project Type, enter genre, runtime of the film, date, (don’t worry about budget), Country, Language, (don’t worry

  • about Shooting Format, Aspect, Color), IMPORTANT: Student Project ‘Yes’

  • You can skip the Screenings/Distribution section

4. Add an Online Screener (this is your YouTube/Vimeo link and password)

5. If you have created a poster (recommended!), upload it as a jpg/png

6. Go to ‘Browse Festivals’ and Search for the Eye2Eye Showcase

7. Click on ‘Submit Now’ and choose your project to submit

8. Select ‘High School’ (no submission fee)

9. Answer the three questions, and click ‘Add to Cart & Checkout’

10. Review your cart and click ‘Complete Order’
